On January 9th, 2025, I took a moment to record an audio message. On this day, I was deep in thought. I adjusted the audio message into a blog message here. Here goes…
As I sit here reflecting, memories flood back to me, reminding me of when my then-best friend Celine gave me a tape recorder. I used to talk into it every day on my way to work, sharing my thoughts as they came. And now, here I am again, speaking my truth and sharing my heart because I know it matters.
Right now, the world feels heavy and unpredictable. What pushed me to record this was the devastation happening in Los Angeles. Fires are consuming entire cities in Malibu, Pasadena, and the Palisades, flattening homes and displacing families. Even celebrities, with all their wealth and resources, aren’t immune. The truth is glaring: the city and state weren’t prepared for this, and our leaders have failed us in many ways.
But I feel something deeper happening beyond the politics and the news reports. This isn’t just about natural disasters. This is about us. The universe, God, higher energy, whatever you call it is speaking to us, trying to teach us something profound.
The purpose of life is for us to grow, evolve, and connect. Yet, as humans, we insist on learning the hard way. We chase immediate pleasure, material success, and power, anything to fill the void. But none of it lasts. None of it truly sustains us. And time and time again, we see this truth unfold.
We have placed things above people, power above humanity. We have sacrificed the essence of what makes us special in pursuit of temporary satisfaction. And now, we are being forced to wake up.
I think about those losing their homes, family heirlooms, belongings, everything they’ve worked for. It’s devastating. But here’s the truth: those things, as sentimental as they are, are not more valuable than the stories they hold. The real treasure is in the people, the memories, the love that remains even when everything tangible is gone.
Things can be rebuilt. Memories and human connection are where real wealth lies. And I deeply wish we could have learned this another way. But we haven’t been listening. And if we don’t start now, it will only get worse.
I feel it. This powerful shift, this necessary transition. We are on the edge of something greater, something deeper. And as painful as this process is, I believe in what’s on the other side.
This is why I’m so excited about the Real Connect Podcast. Now, more than ever, we need real conversations. We need spaces where we can be honest, where we can release doubt, and just be. There’s no bandwagon to jump on, only the choice to connect.
I know this is my calling. I feel it in my bones. I am the messenger, and I am ready. Ready to walk into rooms and speak my truth. Ready to inspire others to see beyond what they’ve been conditioned to believe. Ready to remind us all that we are here to be fully, unapologetically, and in deep connection with ourselves and each other.
So, let’s go. Let’s listen. Let’s rise.
Because the time is now.
